Is the "Polaroid" brand a good brand for a camera filter?

I'm looking for an ND filter to fit my Sony Nex 5, and have come across one by the brand "Polaroid". Has anyone used this before and is it a suitable brand? Not looking for professional quality, but I do want something that will improve my images.. Thanks.
