I have a lump on the back of my head?

i have this lump on the back of my head, not really that big, its about the size of the top of my thumb. anyways it doesnt hurt at all and ive felt something there before but always assumed it was the surface i was sitting on until today when i reached back and actually felt the small lump. should i be worried, does this mean anything? thanks for any help
