Was Muhammad Ali's - or Clay's at the time - first performance against Sonny Liston masterful?

Was this one of the most maserful displays of boxing you will ever see? As Ali wa only 22 at the time but looked like a 30 year old veteran who was judging the range and picking off a great fighter in Liston with lft jabs and right crosses as well as rapid combinations. I would say this was Ali's second best performance after the win over Foreman. I know a lot of people say his finest performance was against Williams but Cleveland had already been destroyed by Liston twice and also had other defeats prior to fighting Ali. An dalso got shot by police a couple of years before he fought Ali which made him even less of a fighter than he already was. Even Ali said Williams was a mediocre fighter a few years after he fought him. Although Ali's second win over Liston was very impressive as well as it ended in the first round lol. As I already said before as well, the 5h round against Liston in the first fight was like a modified version of the fifth round againsT Foreman in 1974 lol. The ony difference is that Ali never had his back against the ropes against Liston in the 5th round lol. And Ali also came on strong against Foreman in the third round just as he did in the 3rd against Liston in their 1st fight. I know it was supposedly the caustic liniment that got into Ali's eyes in the first Liston fight but it just so happens Ali took a lot of punches against Liston in the fifth and also took a lot of punches against Foreman in the fifth as well lol. Maybe he ws just pacing himself and letting Liston and Foreman wear themselves out in the 5th round and then take them apart in the subsequent rounds. For example if Liston never retired on his stool in the first fight then he would have probably been taken out in the 8th round just as Ali predicted as he looked to be gong in the nex couple of rounds. And I would bet my house on that 5t round taking everything out of Liston as he probably punched himself out thinking all he had to do was finish a blind man. And when he couldn't then that probably took everything out of Liston both mentally and physically. Although he apparently had an injured shoulder as well which Ali said was an excuse. And that is why Ali was probably infuriated with Liston hence poleaxing Sonny in 1 round in the rematch.
