What to do after neutering n spaying?

My Chihuahua, male n female just got spay n neuter this afternoon. But now they don't stop licking there surgery n I'm scared they can try to rip out the stitches. Female is ok with pampers but male doesn't even let me touch his tail, n doesn't let me put the e collar on either. He tries to bit me. When the female has the collar on she won't sit. What to do? I don't want an infection or them ripping there stitches out.
